Hops make beer have unique bitterness and aroma, and have the ability of antisepsis and clarification of wort. Hops were first used in Germany. In 1079, the German first added hops when brewing beer, so that the beer had a fresh bitter and fragrant aroma.
Hops have higher requirements for light, and generally grow in mountainous forest edge, shrub or wetland on both sides of river with good light, and are distributed in contiguous area. In the fertile soil areas, wild hops are distributed in large areas, and the plants are tall. However, in the environment with low soil fertility, the growth of wild hops is poor, the plants are short and the leaf shape is quite different.
