Swordfish can be classified into Scombroidea, swordfish family and swordfish genus. The common species are Oriental swordfish and gray swordfish. It is an oceanic pelagic fish active in the tropics and subtropics. It is ferocious by nature, swims fast, can swim 60 miles per hour, is the swimming champion of all kinds of fish.
Its body is huge, generally more than two meters to five meters long, elongated and slightly flattened. The body is covered with fine scales. It has round gray spots on its body. The upper jaw of the mouth is like a sharp sword, which is very prominent. The first dorsal fin with black spots on its back is higher than the body height. The middle part of the fish is about twice as high as the fish’s body. It looks like a sailboat and looks like a flag flying. Therefore, this kind of fish is called the sailfish.
